My second post for the day was just for fun and to send off friends for the big Labor Day Weekend camping trip. The map, jeep and trailer image are from one of the August releases for Doodle Pantry called "On the Road" and I merged some trees from the "Happy Trails Camper" set. I added a little geo tag to mark the spot and the sentiment is something I'm sure we're all used to hearing!
Thanks for stopping by and happy trails to you for this last big weekend before school starts! Mark your calendars for September 1st to check out the new releases from Doodle Pantry. There are some awesome images coming your way...

Foxy
Hello! When I won the Tuesday Morning Sketches #261 Challenge recently, I won a gift certificate to Yours or Mine Paper Crafts. I used my "winnings" on this beautiful die from Spellbinders called "Foxy." Mei was wonderful to work with and if you haven't checked out her shop, you might want to stop by. I saw a number of things that I've never seen in my local box stores.
This was Sketch Challenge #237 from Operation Write Home:
I flipped the sketch and decided to leave off a sentiment thinking it could be used for many different occasions. Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you're having a good week!

Dog Slobber...
...is something I know a little bit about! I'm getting ready to walk in a fundraiser for "senior citizen" dogs this weekend, so a puppy card seemed to be a great way to start the weekend.
This card's image is from Doodle Pantry's "Puppy Presents" set. It's one of my faves and always makes me smile. There are a bunch of cute dogs, each carrying different "presents"!
I'd like to enter this card in a couple of new challenges (for me): Tuesday Throwdown 209: Our Furry Little Friends and The Crazy Challenge 178: Cute Little Animals.
Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a fantastic weekend! If you're looking for another challenge, check out Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 49, open until August 24th. Woof!
Supplies
Cardstock: MFT Kraft & corrugated scrap (flattened in Big Shot)
DP: Bo Bunny Happy Tails Collection
Image: Doodle Pantry "Puppy Presents"
Sentiment: American Art Stamp "Dog Slobber"
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black
Dies: My Favorite Things & Little B
Other: The Twinery black/white twine, Paper Studio paw brad, JoAnn's Scrap Essential tags, and Glossy Accents

Hang in There
Tuesday Morning Sketches #263:
Fun sketch! I used the Plush Panda image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry, as well as the DP and symbol from Asian Plants 2. The Asian symbol means Friend. The flowers are from The Stamps of Life mini flower die set. This panda makes me smile and I'm hoping it will cheer up a friend. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bundle of Joy
Sentimental Sundays Challenge #220 is to use monochromatic colors. I needed a new baby card, so I stuck with the monochromatic theme and used the adorable "Quirky Stork" image from Doodle Pantry. I distressed the edges with Distress Ink (Evergreen Bough) for a little definition. All the dies used are from My Favorite Things. The twine is from The Twinery. Thanks for stopping by!!

Eye Thank You
I am chipping away and joining in the latest Shopping Our Stash Challenge #165. When I started working on this challenge, I remembered some chipboard glasses that I had picked up at my local LSS (yes, they were on sale :-). I primed the chipboard first, painted the glasses with red acrylic paint, then sprayed them with a glossy acrylic coating. I cut some clear heavy plastic (leftover packaging) to fit in the frames for lenses. The stamp is a new one from My Favorite Things called "Eye Charts." I thought the set went perfectly with my new glasses! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Friends Always Share
Good morning! The new challenge today over at Cards in Envy is Best of Friends, showing "friends" together. Well, friends always share so I thought the perfect image was Mudpie & Friend by House Mouse Designs, sharing a carrot. I colored these cute critters with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils and used the simple "friendship" stamp from A Muse Artstamps. DP is from Imaginations Gingham Paper Pad. All dies are from My Favorite Things.
I hope you'll play along and link up your card because...friends always share :-) Thanks for stopping by!

God Bless America
For Operation Write Home Sketch Challenge #236 and Our Daily Bread Designs August Challenge "Stars."
I made a very simple AnyHero card on Kraft cardstock using Doodle Pantry's "Patchwork Star" which I absolutely love for it's country, homey feel and great sentiment. The DP is from Doodle Pantry's "Stars and Stripes" digi paper pack. I added a bronze star brad (Paper Studio) and some Red/White/Blue twine to finish the card off. Easy peasy!

See You On The Web
For Sketch Saturday #322:
I used Doodle Pantry's "Spider Greetings" for the sentiment, web and cute spider. The DP was from my paper stash, the two different ribbons from Michaels, and the web border was cut using an EK Success border punch. A little Distress Ink (Marmalade) was added to the edge of the web. A little bling and Wink of Stella pen for the spider's hair (fur?) finished it off. Not too scary, right? :-)

Loads of Fun
Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the latest Cupcake Inspirations Challenge (#273) - Bugs! Don't these look too good to eat?
To celebrate "Bugs," I used Toy Truck Ants, Ant Accents, and Birthday Accessories from Doodle Pantry. These ants just make me smile (when they're on a card - not my patio!). I merged a couple of ants onto the sentiment, the presents into the truck, and a party hat onto the little guy sitting on the truck cab. The background is embossed with a herringbone embossing folder, added 3 little banners, and orange enamel dots for the hubcaps. I hope you'll play along and, if you use a digital image, join in the fun over at the Doodle Pantry Blog (DPDC49) too! Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day!

Big Candles
I've been a fan of The Stamps of Life for over 2-1/2 years and I think this new set for August (candles4birthday) has moved quickly into my top 5 faves! These bigger candles are fantastic and there is so much you can do with them. Not to mention the matching dies that give you endless possibilities.
Here's my card for the August gallery. I stamped two of the candles with VersaMark Watermark ink and embossed the third. I die cut the candles and mounted them on the shadow diecuts. The sentiment (also from the set) was stamped with Stephanie's ColorBox Licorice Ink. The embossed chevron at the top is from Cuttlebug. The DP and ribbon are from my stash. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Friendship
The theme for this week's Shopping our Stash Challenge #163 is "Splish Splash". We're to use some type of wet medium on the card. For my card, I used Distress Paints to stamp the flowers. I learned after the 1st attempt to let the paint dry in between stamping otherwise, let just say it looked like mud! LOL! This was fun ~ I love trying new techniques :-) Thanks for stopping by!
Supplies
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White & Strathmore Mixed Medium
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Stamp(s): Kolette Hall for Hampton Art (sentiment); Impress Rubber Stamps & Judikins (flowers)

Relax
Hello! I'm absolutely thrilled to be joining the Cards In Envy Design Team! I've loved participating in their challenges and I'm very flattered to be joining such a talented group!
My first card for CIE is for the challenge "Toes in the Sand." Any time my toes are in the sand, it is relaxation time! The A2 card layout is from Operation Write Home Sketch #232. I used chalks for the background, paper pieced the umbrella, and heat embossed the sentiment. The button is a die cut so this card is flat!
I hope you'll play along at Cards in Envy and I can't wait to see what you create. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Your Future is Bright
I can't believe it is already August - this summer is flying by! It's time for another fun monthly challenge over at Words 2 Scrap By and it's perfect for this time of year! School will be starting up before you know it and W2SB's theme this month is based on the famous quote:
"Education is the movement from darkness to light."
- Allan Bloom
A bright future called for a bright card! The sentiment background was done with a pencil eraser and 3 ink colors. The DP is from a DCWV paper pad called "The Grade School Stack" and the fishtail banners and alpha die cuts are from MFT. The finishing touch is a bright yellow starburst and button die cut.
I hope you'll play along this month and I can wait to see what everyone creates!
