Happy Halloween! For this week's Tuesday Morning Sketch #273, I switched gears from Halloween cardmaking to turkeys. Not just any turkey, but a Quirky Turkey from Doodle Pantry! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this week's sketch challenge and I just had to join in the fun :-)
A Quirky Turkey from Doodle Pantry deserves wonky panels, right? I printed the turkey image twice and layered a second set of fussy cut wings to the image. I also had to add a bowtie since he's obviously all dressed up for dinner! Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a great weekend.

Snow Much Joy!
The Paper Players Challenge #219 is a sketch challenge (which I really like btw)!
First of all...I was thrilled to be one of the cards selected last week for "A Cut Above!" It was definitely a YIPPEE moment for me! For this card challenge, I went with another Christmas theme. I love this snowman stamp...I think he looks like stacked marshmallows :-) I did some paper piecing for the hat and scarf and die cuts to replace the stamped holly leaves on the hat. Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy Halloween!

Make Me Smile
It's time for another Operation Write Home Sketch - #241. With all the rain, wind, and football last weekend, I was able to spend some time in the Girl Cave. Of course, half of that time was spent cleaning up so I had room to create, but fun nonetheless!
Sketch:
I have made a lot of cards with this snowman image from Doodle Pantry called "Snowman Cheer." It's a freebie and I just love the little vest and matching DP. The sentiment is from another Doodle Pantry set called "Missing You." It was originally part of a bundled fundraiser for OWH and Laurie continues to donate part of the proceeds to OWH for this set...sweet!

Let's Hang Out
Hello! Today I'm posting a card for Shopping our Stash #174 Halloween Challenge using Tuesday Morning Sketches #272 before I rake leaves - again!
I wanted to go a little creepy rather than cute so I decided to trap a scary spider in a mason jar! The mason jar, chevron, oval and tag die cuts are from My Favorite Things. The wicked looking spider is from Stampers Anonymous' "Carved Halloween" collection by Tim Holtz. I heat embossed webs on the DP from Authentique's "Thrilling" Collection and added tiny black rhinestones for baby spiders. The sentiments are from an old stamp set called "Spider Web" by My Favorite Things. All the papers were distressed with Ranger "Pumice Stone" ink. Thanks so much for hanging out with me!

Peace
My last post for today is a card I made for Paper Players Challenge #218. It's a Clean & Simple challenge using silver or gold. This is a new challenge for me, recommended by a blogging friend. I've been dying to ink up this new Hero Arts stamp I picked up a couple of weeks ago so I thought it would look fantastic in silver. I stamped in silver ink (the background & trees), then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is a Sizzix/Tim Holtz die cut that was also embossed with UTEE for thickness. I'm practicing my CAS style so I'm hoping this card meets the challenge. Thanks so much for stopping by ~ have a great week!

Cardstock: Bazzill Card Shoppe
Stamp: Hero Arts "Pen & Ink Christmas Tree" & Impress "Snowfall" background stamp

Hello! Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the latest challenge over at 613 Avenue Create. The current theme is Anything Goes with optional candy treat. Since I'm addicted to candy corn (it is fat free, right?), I couldn't resist the following card:

Winter Deer
Finally found some crafting time this week and it felt good! I put together a card for Tuesday Morning Sketches #270:
I used one of the October new releases from Doodle Pantry, "Woodland Critters," for the deer image and a sentiment from another Doodle Pantry set called "Bitty Christmas." I stamped small snowflakes in the background, added a dash of snow to the trees, and a sparkly white ribbon on the deer. The die cut snowflakes were heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give them a little shine. For some bling, I added silver metal dots and accents with a Gelly Roll Clear Star pen. The brown background layer was embossed with Darice's Snowflakes embossing folder. I went a little crazy with the swirls and snowflakes, so I left off the little banner :-)
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you have a great weekend...looks like our rainy season is arriving tomorrow - just in time for my grandson's soccer game!

Happy Autumn!
Autumn is my second favorite season! I especially love the rich, warm colors and for Cards in Envy's latest A2 Card Challenge: Autumn Leaves, I went with shimmery maple leaves, floss, and a paper button to complement these beautiful fall paper scraps I found in my scrap bin. I like these leaves a lot better than the ones covering my backyard right now!
Supplies
Cardstock: Memory Box "Wassail" and DCWV Neutral Tones
DP: Scraps (I wish I could remember :)
Dies: Stamps of Life (happy), Memory Box (capital alpha), Sizzix (leaves)
Other: Martha Stewart Button Punch, Distress Inks, MFT Shimmer Mist
I hope you'll share your leaf creations with us. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Twiggy
Today is catch-up day on challenges! This is my third and last post for the day...LOL! Sentimental Sundays' Challenge was to use Kraft paper. I've been working on my Christmas cards and also trying to keep them CAS and "thinner" to save on postage this year.
My card base is Kraft cardstock. I stamped the wreath and sentiment, colored the twigs with Copics, added red glitter berries sealed with Glossy Accents, and finished the twigs with some Icicle Stickles. Thanks so much for stopping by ~ have a great weekend!

Awareness
For Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #269, I wanted to focus on Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It's the perfect sketch to focus on the pink ribbon. The image and sentiment are from Doodle Pantry's "Special Ribbons" set. The dies are all from My Favorite Things and the DP is from Doodlebug Designs.
I'll also be entering this card in Little C's Challenges - Breast Cancer Awareness, # LCC1. Doodle Pantry is sponsoring their first challenge, so I hope you'll check it out and join in the fun. Thanks so much for stopping by and supporting the message!

So Merry!
Wooohooo! Christmas is coming and a perfect start on my Christmas cards was the October new release from Doodle Pantry called "Holiday Patterns." I love this set and, dare I say, this was one of the easiest Christmas cards I've ever put together! I printed the ornament and sentiment onto cardstock, added DP from the set to accent, and rhinestones and ribbon to bling it up. I then printed the ornament a second time, fussy cut, and popped it up. Easy Peasy!
Please check out all of the fantastic new images HERE! Those wacky ants are back again and this time they are wearing costumes (see my Peek-a-boo card HERE). This set is FREE w/purchase through October 24th:
Thanks so much for stopping by! Remember to visit the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #51, going live later today and also check out the other DT members' blogs for some wonderful inspiration! Have a great day!

Peek-a-boo!
It's time for another Doodle Pantry new release and this month is loaded with fun! My card is using those wacky ants, this time dressed up as a nut! This image set is also FREE w/purchase through October 24th...nutty, right?
I also used DP, acorn and leaf images from the new release, Fall Patterns, to merge with the Nut Costume Ant. I fussy cut some of the nuts and leaves and popped them up. This was fun to put together!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you'll check out all of the new October releases and don't forget...Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #51 will go live a bit later today. Happy Fall!

W2SB #10: Paved with Paw Prints
Happy October! Inspired by National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, Words 2 Scrap By's October Challenge theme is "The road to my heart is paved with paw prints." This really hits home for me. My four rescue pups are pictured at the top right of this blog. It all started when I brought a stray home at age 6 and I've been happily adopting ever since! So, with the fondest memories and many paw prints on my heart, this card is for Tinkerbelle, B.D., Beau, Josie, Abe, Chloe, Bailey, and Harley - for ending many of my days with dog slobber :-)
