The Card Concept #119: Beautiful Butterflies

Hi friends! The Card Concept is back from their summer vacation with a "Beautiful Butterflies" theme:

It was a very rainy day yesterday and I thought I would play with my Deco Foil.  It has been ages since I used those beautiful shiny sheets!  One of the foils I have is rainbow colored and I thought it would be perfect for TCC's latest challenge:

I used toner sheets from Gina K. (I think...I had taken them out of the packaging) and the rainbow Deco Foil to create the multi-colored butterflies for my clean and layered card.  The red stripes were foiled from Heidi Swapp's toner sheets and the Gina K. sentiment was also foiled in red.  Lots of foil action here and I had completely forgotten how difficult it is to photograph :(  I hope you get the idea of just how shiny this card is!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you enjoyed the last weekend of the summer (eek!).

Hugs,
Annie

Freshly Made Sketches #394

Hi there! Back again with a card for the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge:

I used another one of my Distress Ink backgrounds I made last weekend DTP - swiping the ink cubes across a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock. It's pretty bold...just like my friend!

I used the Friend die from MFT to die cut the main element of the sketch.  Adding a few 'Plentiful Petals' stamps and dies from MFT and some Nuvo Dream Drops finished off this card.  It's fun how the iridescent Dream Drops take on the colors of the distressed background!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you're having a great weekend!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #443 - LeAnne's Sketch

Hi there! This week over at The Paper Players is a sketch challenge from the lovely LeAnne:

I started out with a simple card idea for a dear friend. It ended up being completely different than what I had imagined but that happens sometimes, right?!

Lots of inking going on with this one! Would you believe it started out with a white card base and layer. I started stamping and blending some Catherine Pooler Sage ink and just kept going.  I thought it was such a pretty color 😁. The watercolored stamped images are also from Catherine Pooler - 'Fluttering Friends' and 'F as in...'

Thanks, LeAnne, for a fun sketch! Hope you all are having a great week!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #401: A Color Challenge from Joanne

Well, did y'all have fun celebrating our 400th Challenge?  We were blown away by the amazing entries! Thank you for helping us celebrate and we can't wait to see who all the winners are from our random prize drawings! Winners will be announced on Wednesday the 18th and good luck to all!

Now, on to this week's Paper Players challenge which is a bright color challenge hosted by the amazing Joanne:

Pretty color combo!  I just had to go with a floral theme and use my Hero Arts Color Layering Fuchsia stamp set for this one.  I have a fuchsia hanging basket in my backyard with these exact colors! It started out on the front porch but I found out that the neighborhood deer loved it too, thus it was relocated...what was left anyway!

We hope you'll join in the fun this week and play along!  Check out the other beauties from the DT too:

Hello Friend!

Hi friends!  I have a card today for a couple of challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #343
The Card Concept #96 (Inspired by colors, table sign, and gold elements)

I thought the FMS sketch was perfect for a clean and layered look for this card.  I painted a watercolor wash with SU Calypso Coral and gold heat embossed the big sentiment from Mama Elephant. I layered the watercolor piece onto Tim Holtz Gold Metallic cardstock.  The DSP border is from SU Painted With Love that I've been hoarding saving since Valentines Day!  I finished the card off with Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Gold Confetti. I love those colors from TCC's awesome photo inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hi there!  It was a beautiful day today and I'm itchin' to go on my annual plant buying spree with my garden buddy!  I put this card together for her and I'm linking up to Words 2 Craft By April/May Challenge: The Promise of April.  The inspiring quote for the challenge is:

No Winter lasts forever, no Spring skips its turn.
April is a promise that May is bound to keep, and we know it.

The Paper Players #390: Sketch Challenge from Jaydee

Hi Paper Players Friends!  It's Sunday and time for a new challenge.  This week, the awesome Jaydee is hosting a Sketch Challenge that is so versatile...my favorite kind!  Take a look!

I fell in love with the "Lots of Happy" card kit from Stampin' Up but screwed up when ordering.  I ended up with the refill kit but it had all the fun elements I liked, just not the stamp set.  I have quite a few stamps that worked just fine so it ended up being a happy mistake after all.  The gold embossed sentiment is from Gina K.'s wreath builder kit which fit perfectly for this card.  I colored the flower elements with Zig Clean Color Markers and an aqua brush and added gold leaf die cuts from SU Petals and More.  I like how it turned out!

We can wait to see what you come up with using this fab sketch.  Check out the rest of the Design Team's beauties:

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #043

Hi there!  I'm so excited to be a Guest Designer for the newest challenge over at Tic Tac Toe!  I've really enjoyed playing this challenge and I'm very honored that the talented Design Team asked me to join them this week.

Here's the board:

I went with the bottom row across: Square, Die Cut, & Dots.

I used a couple of different stencils.  The blueberry layer was stenciled with VersaMark and SSS Circle Dots and the white square with Distress Ink and an all over dot stencil.  The SU dragonfly was watercolored, die cut, and layered over another vellum die cut.  The heat embossed sentiment is from the same Dragonfly Dreams stamp set.  Finally, I shined up the wings with Nuvo Glitter Gloss which are very sparkly IRL!

Thanks so much to the DT for the invite and thank YOU for stopping by.  Now, head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge for the details and play along!
