The Paper Players #446: A CAS Challenge from Claire

Hi there! Summer is just a day away and Claire's CAS challenge over at The Paper Players is a perfect way to celebrate:

I immediately had to go with lemonade for my summer beverage. Truth be told I pretty much can drink this all year round! Plain or with strawberries, raspberries, or blackberries or maybe even an Arnold Palmer? All sound good to me!

First I stamped, watercolored (with Zigs) and die cut lemons and blossoms from Ellen Hutson's 'Squeeze the Day' for a juicy cluster. The sentiment from Stamps of Life was masked off and stamped with VersaFine Clair 'Nocturne' and 'Cheerful' inks on the Neenah Solar White card base. Fun challenge!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Summer!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #406: A CAS Challenge from Sandy

Welcome back, Paper Players! This week is our Clean & Simple Challenge hosted by the fabulous Sandy and it's a fun one with so many possibilities!

The challenge is to create a Clean & Simple project featuring fruit and/or vegetables. CAS entries should have plenty of white space (doesn't have to be white) with minimal layers and embellishments.

I don't have a lot of food type stamps but knew I wanted to use this pineapple from Catherine Pooler's 'I Pick You' stamp set.  Paired with this sentiment from Catherine Pooler's 'Tropical Yours,' I just had to add some sunglasses (Impression Obsession die).  I added Glossy Accents to the glasses but it's hard to tell in the photo.  Does it remind you of a certain movie with Tom Cruise with that famous line, "You had me at hello?"  I can't believe that movie is over 20 years old!

There's some great inspiration over on the DT's blogs.  Go check them out and make sure you leave Anne Marie a little love and welcome her back to the DT!  We are so excited she's back!

And just a few rules:
  1. Create a new paper project.
  2. Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
  3. Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
  5. Have fun!

Thanks for stopping by and we can't wait to see your CAS creations in the gallery!  Have a great week!

Hugs,
Annie

SOS #271 - Apple for Teacher

I was lucky to be able to make a couple of cards today.  The second one is for the latest challenge from Shopping Our Stash featuring fruits or vegetables.  In my stash, I have zero veggies (and I know they're good for you).  I did have a cute Stamps of Life set called "apple2stamp" and the coordinating die.  It also has punny apple sentiments that are so cute!

I layered all scrap DSP from my scrap basket on a kraft card base.  I then added a burlap doily and popped up the apple die cut after heat embossing the sentiment and inking the edges with Distress.  Pretty simple card!

Thanks for visiting today!
