The Paper Players #400: The Celebration Continues!

Welcome Paper Players!  It's the second week of our 400th Challenge Celebration!  There are a ton of prizes that will be rewarded via Random.org and if you haven't played yet, come visit us!  You can check out all the details, Challenge Guidelines and a list of our generous sponsors' prizes on the original post HERE

So, to continue with the celebration, how about a little slice of lime, glittery salt on the rim, and a margarita for some inspiration?  I know my brother will appreciate a Fiesta for his birthday!

The fab margarita shaker (die & window) are from My Favorite Things layered over Stampin' Up's Bubbles & Fizz DSP and the Hero Arts Fiesta sentiment repeatedly stamped in Catherine Pooler ink colors with the Misti. The lime wedge is from Stampin Up's Lemon Zest stamp set and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins finished off the drink.  Cheers!

There's more celebrating going on over at the other DT Members' blogs.  Check them out!

Don't forget, you can enter up to two projects for a chance to win one of the fabulous prizes!  Come join us for our 400th Challenge Celebration!

I'd also like to link up this birthday card over at Seize the Birthday Anything Goes with Sequins Topping:

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great week!

Cards in Envy: Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Welcome back, CIE friends!  It's another fun theme over at Cards in Envy for our new challenge: Let's Hear It For The Boys!  Yep, cards for guys.  It could be a Father's Day card, birthday, congratulations...you decide.  Just make sure it's flat enough to fit in an envy.

This card is for my DGS's 2nd grade graduation.  We call him "little dude."  I can't remember having "graduations" until high school but I think it's fun and great for the kids to celebrate!  I used Concord & 9th's Confetti Card Die on Neenah Solar White cardstock to layer over a card base made from Gina K.'s Red Velvet cardstock.  The Hooray sentiment was stamped with Catherine Pooler's inks and Concord & 9th's Triple Step Hooray stamp.  I found the "dude" on a Paper Smooches stamp set.  I finished the card off with sequin stars, Nuvo drops, and a few small enamel dots.

We hope you'll play along and create a card for those guys in your life!  This challenge will close on Sunday, June 17th.  Thanks for stopping by and sharing your wonderful cards over at Cards in Envy!

Cards in Envy: Cheers to You!

Hi Cards in Envy friends and Happy Labor Day!  Hopefully you're enjoying the weekend before school starts up and the lazy days of summer wind down!

Our Cards in Envy Challenge this time around is "Cheers to You!" and we're looking for Congratulations/Celebration type of cards.  The cards can be any size - just make sure they are flat enough to fit comfortably in an envy.

My card today is for an anniversary couple that love a good glass of wine:

It's a one layer card using heavy Bristol cardstock.  The "celebrate" sentiment was die cut from black glitter cardstock and plain black cardstock, layered up for a little dimension.  The wine bottle and glass are layering watercolor stamps from Rubbernecker.  I love how the wine layer splashes all over the place...as long as it's not on the carpet, that is!

We hope you'll play along and help us celebrate during this challenge.  Thanks for stopping by and Cheers to You!

W2CB #38: Celebrations

Welcome back, W2CB friends!  It's time to "celebrate!"  This month, Words 2 Craft By was inspired by the following quote:

It has been said that a Scotchman has not seen the world
until he has seen Edinburgh;
and I think that I may say that an American has not seen the United States
until he has seen Mardi-Gras in New Orleans.
- Mark Twain

For my I-Teamer card, I went with the official colors of Mardi-Gras (purple, green, & gold)  and a "Celebrate" theme.  I have never personally experienced Mardi-Gras but definitely it is on the bucket list!

Here's the stuff I used:
     Cardstock - Neenah, Memory Box
Stamps - Stampendous (sentiment), MFT (star balloons)
Inks - Catherine Pooler Flirty Fuschia, Tiara, & Lime Rickey; VersaFine Onyx Black
Other - MFT Big Balloon Stencil, Recollections Halloween Sequin Mix

We hope that you'll join in the celebration over at W2CB this month!  I hear Bobbi has a pretty awesome stamp set that's up for grabs :)  Thanks for stopping by ~ Annie
