The Paper Players #454: A Color Challenge from Jaydee

Hello friends! I'm excited to play along with The Paper Players Color Challenge this week:

I love black & white plus just about any color!  I decided to use yellow this time for my beach card because I'm enjoying the sunshine we've been having lately.

The card is pretty bold but I guess I should have expected that when I used Hero Arts' Beachy Bold Print background stamp!  I colored in some of the beach umbrellas and flip flops with a yellow Zig Clean Color Marker.  I die cut the Stamps of Life sentiment three times in white cardstock and glued them together.  I also fussy cut one of the colored umbrellas and popped it up on the sentiment label.  All the layers were die cut with Honey Bee's Deckled Edge dies. I added glitter to the stars but, you know, sparkly doesn't photograph that well!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I hope you're having a great week!

Hugs,
Annie

Super Duper Birthday

Hi there! Today the weather is a lot cooler and I spent some time playing along with a couple of challenges.  The Paper Players #445 is a Color Challenge from Anne Marie:

Loved this color combo so I put together a birthday card for the PP challenge and also wanted to link up to the Seize the Birthday Challenge #167 - Anything Goes:

I just received a new stamp set from Ellen Hutson that featured a scooter which I had to have! I actually have a scooter like many folks do down at the beach...mine is red, of course!

The stamp set is called 'Good Times' and is from the newest release by Julie. And for a change, I used almost every stamp in the set for this card.  The images were simply colored with Copics because that's how I roll...simply. I layered a scrap of MFT DSP before adding the die cuts. The balloons, little French bulldog with shades, and the beep beep sentiment were all popped up before adding some sequins to the party.  The inside sentiment says "Let the GOOD TIMES roll."

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great week and a fun Father's Day this weekend. I'm going to have lunch with my son who is an absolute awesome Dad to my DGS...so proud!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #409: A Color Challenge from Anne Marie

Gosh, we had so many cute lunchbox love notes last week and thanks to everyone who played along! This week over at The Paper Players it's our Color Challenge hosted by Anne Marie and she has come up with such a pretty color combo!

I thought these colors would make such an awesome plaid with Fall coming.

After I had stamped the plaid background (Concord & 9th) with Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, and Crumb Cake, I die cut the sweater with MFT's Comfy Sweater dies. The sweater was popped up on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that was embossed with Ellen Hutson's Stitches Cover Plate.  The sentiment from MFT's Cozy Greetings was heat embossed with white EP on the Blackberry Bliss card base.  I think this could even be a fun Christmas card!

Check out the gorgeous projects from the rest of the DT ~ they're amazing!

And just a few rules:
  1. Create a new paper project.
  2. Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
  3. Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
  5. Have fun!

We can't wait to see what you come up with using Anne Marie's colors this week!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #405: A Color Challenge from LeAnne

Hello Paper Players!  The lovely LeAnne is hosting our Color Challenge this week and it's a beauty (and one of my all time favorite color combos)!

Those colors always remind me of beautiful sunsets.  Today I went with a pretty simple emboss resist to make the colors the star of the show. I used Distress Oxide inks in matching colors to blend the background after I had heat embossed the sentiment from Catherine Pooler called 'Fearless Pursuit' and the leaves from Hero Arts' 'Delicate Leaf Clusters' stamp sets.  When the Distress Oxides had dried, I used Distress Micro Glaze to seal in the color and added some Pretty Pink Posh clear drops for accent.

For some unique colorful inspiration, please visit the DT's blogs...you won't be disappointed!
