It's a two-fer! Spring is finally here (yay!) and it's also time for another fun Cards in Envy Challenge. The theme this time is "Just Purple!" All you have to do to play is create a card of any size, using mostly purple in your color scheme, and make sure it is flat enough to fit in an envy.
Here's my DT card for a little inspiration:
I used some great purple woodgrain DP from My Favorite Things and layered it with a vase full of purple daisies and foliage from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. The card base and deckled frame are also from a great purple cardstock by Paper Zone (sadly they are out of business).
We hope you'll play along with us! Thanks so much for stopping by and please check out the other team members beautiful cards and leave them some love! Happy Spring!

Dancing in the Rain
There's no sunshine here, just a gully washer (our weather person's description this morning!). Since I was soaking wet from the daily dog walk, I headed to the craft room and had to go with the rain theme for The Paper Players latest challenge:
I stamped all those little raindrops, coated them with Glossy Accents, and then added some microfine glitter so they'd look as wet as they could! The petite umbrellas are a Memory Box die. The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life "umbrella4you" stamp set. Guess I'll put my red rubber boots on and go dance!

I Always Eat The Ears First
Happy Wednesday! Today I'm playing along with one of my new favorite challenges: CASology.
The cue is "Laugh" and so I decided to take a bite out of a bunny for an Easter card:
The bunny's ears were partially die cut with a scalloped circle. She's sitting on some abstract Easter grass (Sizzix) with a shadow word bubble. The ribbon is a Savvy die that I colored with Copics and dotted with a white gel pen. The bunny and sentiment are both from the "chocolatebunny2stamp" set from The Stamps of Life. My nephew will appreciate the humor in this one!

Words 2 Craft By: Easter/Rebirth
Ahhh, March, one of my favorite months. Plants are poking out of the ground, Spring is in the air, Easter celebrations and chocolate eggs to munch on. And, for us - Daylight Savings Time!! An extra hour of daylight and Vitamin D! The theme over at Words 2 Craft By this month is perfect for this time of year: Easter/Rebirth is based on the following quote:
Just when the caterpillar thought her life was over she began to fly.
- Anon.
Here's a little I-Team inspiration for you featuring a beautiful Calla Lily bouquet from Taylored Expressions for an Easter Card:
We sure hope you'll "spring" into action and play along with us this month. There are SSS gift certificates up for grabs and an opportunity to join the team as a Guest I-Teamer for a future challenge.
And, if you create a card with a butterfly, make sure you also link up to the current Cards in Envy Challenge - Beautiful Butterflies!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Cards in Envy: Beautiful Butterflies
Wow, it's March already and time for the first challenge of the month from Cards in Envy! The theme to kick off the month is Beautiful Butterflies. Your card should feature at least one butterfly and fit in an envy for mailing. Any size card will do...the A2 requirement has been lifted :-)
My beautiful butterflies were die cut from a watercolored piece using Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, & Spiced Marmalade) and sprayed with Shimmer Mist. I had a bit leftover so I also die cut the hello sentiment from the same piece. The sentiment is underscored with a piece of washi and little Pretty Pink Posh droplets were added for a finishing touch. Don't they just look like water? Love them!
I do hope you'll play along with us. Spring's a comin' and the butterflies will be flyin'!
Thanks for visiting today and don't forget to stop by the other team members to check out their inspiration. Have a great day!

SOS White OUT
The Shopping Our Stash Challenge this week is #241 - White OUT. No white paper. That was harder than I thought it would be but fun nonetheless!
It also gave me another chance to make one more Easter card with those cute chicks from Lawn Fawn. I even fussy cut them so no white was showing...yay for me!
Thanks so much for stopping by and here's the stuff I used for this card:
Cardstock: Bazzill Cotton Candy
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black
Stamps: Judikins (sentiment), Lawn Fawn (chicks)
Dies: Taylored Expressions (grass), Stamps of Life (flowers)
Other: Hobby Lobby Glitter Egg Rub-ons, Recollections enamel dots, Copics

CASology: Spin
The Cue Card Challenge over at CASology this week is SPIN. My head did a little spinning trying to think of something a little different!
I may be pushing the envelope a bit, but here's my card and then I'll explain :-)
The Space Needle in Seattle is 605 feet. At the 500 foot level of the landmark is the SkyCity Restaurant and it spins. Okay, most call it "rotate" but it means the same thing, right? Just slower! The restaurant makes one revolution every hour for a 360 degree view of the Puget Sound. If you ever visit, DO NOT place your purse on the ledge next to the table! But, if you do, don't worry...it will be back in an hour! Ask me how I know...
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! Here's the stuff I used on this card:
Cardstock: Neenah Solar White, Bazzill Licorice
Ink: VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Dandelion
Stamp: Jillibean Handwritten Sentiments
Die: Savvy
Other: My Favorite Things Circle Burst Stencil
