The Card Concept #118: Cacti Cluster

Hi friends! Back again with another card for today for The Card Concept Challenge before they break for the summer. I've missed playing along but you know, sometimes life gets in the way!

I own one cactus stamp set and dies from The Stamps of Life.  Hard to believe but it's true and I wanted to make it work. I created a Clean & Layered card with Doodlebug Designs DSP 'Kraft in Color' for the layers and also created a little pot with the scraps for the cactus. I think it will be a great Get Well Card!

CASology - DISTRESS

Hello friends!  I am SUPER EXCITED today to be a Guest Designer on the CASology blog for their latest challenge!  Thank you for having me!  It's an honor to be a guest on this uber-talented team.

For my card, I took the cue "distress" and put together a project for a friend that is having a bit of trouble lately.  I hope it cheers her up! 

I started with Sketch #214 from Freshly Made Sketches for inspiration:

 

Making the sentiment the focal point, I replaced the banner element with a bright pink embossed bandaid and added die cut hearts smothered with Glossy Accents.  I was pretty proud of myself because I actually waited patiently for those shiny little hearts to dry!  Yep, no fingerprints this time :-)  The sentiment, bandaid, and hearts are from The Stamps of Life "bandage2stamp" set.  The cardbase is Neenah Solar White cardstock.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #263:

Fun sketch!  I used the Plush Panda image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry, as well as the DP and symbol from Asian Plants 2. The Asian symbol means Friend.  The flowers are from The Stamps of Life mini flower die set.  This panda makes me smile and I'm hoping it will cheer up a friend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

The latest Cards in Envy Challenge is Winged Things.  And...since I've caught a nasty cold bug this week, I thought I would go with a get well card - sniff, sniff.
