The Paper Players #411: A Sketch Challenge from Jaydee

Hello Paper Players! It's time for a Sketch Challenge from our awesome Jaydee:

I thought this was a great sketch to let DSP do most of the work!

I used a Recollections 6x6 paper pad called 'Halloween Boo' for the base layers. One of the papers in the pack had a friendly skeleton so I cut him out and layered him on a dark gray rectangle. The sparkly gray spider web ribbon from my stash was layered over the seam before I popped him up.  To finish it off, I added a white heat embossed sentiment - trick or treat!

There are lots of options with this sketch.  Check out the rest of the DT for some creative inspiration:

perfectly WONDERFUL!

Back again with the third and final card I made yesterday during the downpour! I really wanted to play along over at Freshly Made Sketches since it had also been a while:

MFT Jumbo Abstract Art was used for the watercolor stripes with Distress Ink on a stitched rectangle. I had this SU Petal Palette die cut on my desk, all colored up and waiting for a project. I popped it up and added a sentiment from Altenew's 'You Are' stamp set.  Finished the card off with some Wink of Stella and Pretty Pink Posh Confetti.

Have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by!

CASology: Heal

Hi again! Another challenge I've missed playing in this summer has been CASology. When I saw the cue word, I knew I wanted (and needed) to make a sympathy card.

Simple masking and Distress Ink blending gave me the sunset backdrop I was looking for. The wheat stalks and sentiment (Hero Arts) were stamped with VersaFine ink and heat embossed.

Thanks for visiting ~ Have a great week!

Blow Out The Candles!

It's been weeks since I've been able to play in any of my favorite challenges.  Summer has been crazy busy with fantastic weather but yesterday it rained, and rained, and rained. So, I played the entire day with ink and paper!  Best therapy ever!

My card was inspired by two challenges, The Card Concept and Seize the Birthday:

Inspired by bright rainbow stripes

Anything Goes with Die Cuts or Punches Topping

And here's my card:

I used MFT's 'Make a Wish' stamps and dies for this bright birthday card. I die cut the candles three times, twice out of solid rainbow colored cardstock and the third layer out of MFT's Tiny Hearts DSP. The flames were die cut and colored with Copics and Wink of Stella. I was pretty proud of myself for stamping the sentiment FIRST before layering all of those candles on the card base!  I know you know what I mean! LOL!

Have a great week and thanks much for stopping by!
