SYDNEY aka Sydney Bean
Syd was rescued at 2 years old and had been used as a "breeder" then just let loose. She was terrified and malnourished. The good folks at Oregon Dog Rescue were holding an adoption day at a local pet store. I had gone in to buy a new collar for Cody, looked to my right, and there was this tiny, shaking miniature schnauzer with sad brown eyes looking out of the crate. I asked if I could hold her. After two hours of sitting on the floor holding this teeny little girl, the Rescue volunteer asked if I had made a decision? Well, of course I had. She was coming home with me! Syd will be 13years old this year and is definitely the Queen of the Sand Castle! I can also count on Syd to eat any paper scraps that fall on the craft room floor.
CODY aka C Man
Cody was 5 months old when we met. He had lived in four different homes during those months and each time was given up. He was too much for folks to handle, being a very active yellow lab. Well, it was love at first sight for me and I think for him too. He peed on my white tennis shoes and I loaded him up into my truck 15 minutes later. Cody will be 12 years old this year and lives to play fetch and run on the beach. He's a happy-go-lucky boy, slightly pigeon-toed, and definitely the baby of the family.
LEVI aka The Doodle
Well, I guess labradoodles are not supposed to look like Levi. He has much more doodle than lab and was left behind from the litter. He has a lot of spunk and wouldn't have anything to do with me when we met. But, I could tell he was a smart one and would train me well. Levi came to live with me at 3 months old and will be 13 years old this year. He's eaten scatter rugs, chases squirrels, and barks like a maniac when someone comes to the door. His nickname should be AT&T Security! He's a handful but a loving, funny handful!
IN MEMORIAM:
SEXY SADEE
My sweet Sadee lived just shy of her 12th birthday. She was the matriarch of the team and would lay at my feet in the craft room, supervising the other fur kids. She could always be counted on to add a few chocolate lab hairs to any project I was working on too! Sadee loved the water, tennis balls, and humans of all shapes and sizes. I miss her terribly but am so grateful for the time we had together.
GILDA (foster kid) aka The Good Witch
Gilda came to stay with me when my Dad could no longer care for her. She was a 14 year old miniature schnauzer, blind, diabetic, and very hard of hearing. She was a rescue for Dad at 9 years of age and was a wonderful companion for him. She visited him often and loved to sit with him in his favorite chair. Gilda loved to go for walks, eat on time, and cuddle on the couch. She was a much loved member of the card making team. Gilda crossed the rainbow bridge at 16 years old. I miss her every day.

Beautiful doggies...XO
