The Paper Players #464: CAS from LeAnne

Hello friends! Today I'm playing along with The Paper Players #464 Challenge:

It's a Clean & Simple Challenge featuring big sentiments...love the idea!

I die cut and inked up the Merry Christmas Blend stamps from MFT with two different Catherine Pooler inks.  I was a little disappointed with the coverage (need to reink :( )  so my 'fix' was to stamp the sentiment again with VersaMark and heat emboss the letters with Wow's Wanderlust embossing powder.  It's clear and very glittery and covered up the boo boo's perfectly!  I popped the sentiment up over a confetti stenciled background (MFT) and layered on a Memory Box Lagoon notecard.

Thanks for stopping by!

PP451: CAS Challenge from Ann

Hello! Back again with a card for the latest Paper Players Challenge #451:

I went with a simple Kraft card base and coffee stamp from Riley & Co. I clear heat embossed the image and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  Finished it off with coffee "drips" in VersaFine Clair Pinecone ink.

CAS was just what I needed and a masculine card for my stash is a bonus! Thanks for stopping by ~ hope you're having a great week!

Hugs,
Annie

CASology Week 343: COLOR

Hi There! The last card I made today was for CASology, one of my favorite challenges, that I haven't played with in F-O-R-E-V-E-R.  I've missed playing along and glad I could sneak this one in before time ran out. The cue is COLOR and like many others in the link up, it reminded me of colorful rainbows.

It also reminded me of my rainbow collection of flip flops!  Yes, definitely my shoe of choice as the weather warms up :)

The center was masked off and the rainbow blended with Distress Inks over the white heat embossed flip flops.  Pretty simple and colorful! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Annie

Paper Players #442 - CAS Challenge from Laurie

Well, all the crafting stars aligned and I was able to play today.  I made four different cards and the first one I'm posting is for The Paper Players latest challenge for a Clean & Simple project with a "Plants" theme:

I was in a watercoloring mood and EUREKA, I found a stamp set in my stash that I had never used before! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has happened too 😉. It sure makes me happy! The set I used is from Art Impressions and I watercolored with Zig markers on Bristol cardstock.

Thanks for visiting ~ I hope you have a great week!

Hugs,
Annie

The Paper Players #438: A CAS Challenge from Anne Marie

I thought 'what fun' when I saw the CAS Challenge from Anne Marie over at The Paper Players this week!

I haven't paper pieced in forever and was more than happy to try this challenge out.  I'm not a great fussy cutter anymore so that probably has something to do with it!  I know it's why I picked these cute boots to stamp...easy to fussy cut 😄

Stamps of Life 'boots4rain' stamp set
Great Impressions sentiment stamp
MFT DSP
MFT Inks
Nuvo Glitter Gloss (for the puddle)

I love me some cute boots and living down at the beach, I traded in high heels for some pretty wild ones!  I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by.

The Paper Players #433: CAS Challenge from Jaydee

Hi all! Can I just say that today was a beautiful sunny day? I think the snow and cold are making room for Spring to take over. At least I hope so! I made a quick CAS card for the latest Paper Players challenge:

The challenge is to make a CAS One Layer Wonder card. I made this one as a thank you using Catherine Pooler's 'Best in You' stamp set (love the funky flowers), CP Inks, and Ellen Hutson's 'Totally Random Sayings' for the sentiment.  The card base is Neenah Solar White. Sometimes simple CAS cards that are just stamped directly on the card base take me 2 or 3 tries...this one was the first try and I still can't believe it!

Thanks for stopping by ~ Have a great week and Happy Spring!

The Paper Players #429: Monochromatic CAS

Hi there! Today I'm linking up to a couple of challenges.  The first challenge is for The Paper Players and it's Clean & Simple week.  The theme is to keep it monochromatic which I thought was such a fun idea! I rarely make monochromatic cards...not sure why? I really liked playing along with this one:

I kept my one layer card CAS and used minimal supplies.  Maybe that's the part I liked the most...I could still see the top of my desk when I was done!

Supplies:
SU Whisper White Cardstock
Catherine Pooler's Perfect Reason Stamp Set
Catherine Pooler's Inks: Sweet Sixteen, Pixie Dust, Flirty Fuchsia

Thanks for visiting ~ Have a great week!

The Paper Players #410: A CAS Challenge from Claire

Welcome back, Paper Players!  It's time for a new challenge hosted by the lovely Claire:

It's a Clean & Simple (CAS) challenge this week with a Sports/Favorite Team theme.  Keep your creations CAS with lots of white space and minimal embellishments/layering and feature a sport, your favorite team or favorite team colors.

I'm a little light on sports-related stamps but as I was looking through my Christmas stash, I found this ice skating polar bear and had an "Aha Moment!"  Ice skating is a sport and I love to watch (not do :), so why not?

I started with a Neenah Solar White card base and cut a hilly mask out of copy paper. Before I started ink blending the sky with DO Wilted Violet, I white heat embossed some snowflakes. The snowy and icy hills were stenciled with a Prima wave stencil and Bo Bunny Sugar glittery texture paste.  The MFT polar bear was colored with Copics and popped up. I finished the card with a white heat embossed sentiment from Hero Arts.  Easy peasy and snow much fun! I can check off one more Christmas card too!

Check out the DT's sporty creations for more inspiration:

And just a few rules:
  1. Create a new paper project.
  2. Upload your project to your blog with a link back to The Paper Players.
  3. Provide a direct link to your blog post for your challenge entry.
  4. Please link your card to no more than FOUR challenges (including ours).
  5. Have fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ Have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Annie
