OWH Sketch Challenge #210

I really liked this clean and simple sketch challenge over at OWH created from a card by Donna H.  You can see her great card here.  This challenge is also Card #3 for Card Bowl 2014.

Sketch #210:

I made two cards this morning before Super Bowl prep begins :-)  The first one is a masculine card using this great embossed silver foil paper I found in my stash.  It looks like the running boards on our truck!  The second card is an Any Hero card using scraps of that same paper for some very shiny stars.  I did have to flip the sketch on the second card so the sentiment would fit.  Now it's time to get ready for some football!  Thanks for stopping by and GO HAWKS!

Card #1:

Supplies:  Neenah Solar White Cardstock, Coredinations Chipped Saphire & Dark Grey Cardstock, Recollections Signature Special Foil Paper, My Favorite Things' Negative Dot Alphabet Dies.

 Card #2:

Supplies:  Pop Tones Wild Cherry Cardstock, Recollections Blue Cardstock, Neenah Solar White Cardstock, Recollections Signature Special Foil Paper, The Paper Studio Stars Embossing Folder, Fiskars Star Punch, Doodle Pantry "USA Freedom" Digital Image.

Card Bowl 2014 - Card #1

In honor of the Super Bowl, Operation Write Home is hosting Card Bowl 2014 for this fun weekend.  For my first masculine card, I chose the Seahawk primary colors of blue and green and went with a boating theme.  The Seahawks training facility is located on Lake Washington and on any given day, sunny or not, you can always catch some boating going on.  We love our Seahawks and we love our beautiful lakes!

I created a cloudy background and added canvas clouds.  Square and circle dies were used to build the sailboat, and balsam wood and jute twine for the pole to hold the sails.  Thanks for stopping by and GO HAWKS!

Supplies:  Memory Box Pool Cardstock, DSP from stash, Spellbinders Circle and Square Dies, Lifestyle Crafts Embossing Folder, Hero Arts OWH Stamp Set, VersaFine Onyx Black Ink, Ranger Distress Inks, Super Thin Balsam Wood, May Arts Jute Twine, Canvas, and Ki Memories Metal Accents.
