In All Things Give Thanks

Hi there!  A card today for a few challenges with Thanksgiving in mind.

I'd like to link this up to:

Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge (Top row across - Sentiment, Fall Colors, & Twine))

Words 2 Craft  By #47:  Abundance

Fusion: Grateful (Inspired by the wreath in the photo)

I love this digi wreath image and sentiment from Power Poppy.  I colored all those tiny berries and leaves with Prismacolor pencils, adding some Nuvo Golden Sunset drops randomly on some of the berries for a little sparkle.  The cardstock is Neenah Desert Sand and the twine is one of my absolute faves from May Arts.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Joy

I hope everyone had a great World Cardmaking Day!  I took time to begin my Christmas cards for a local senior living facility.  My Dad lives there now and I have gotten to know so many wonderful residents.  I used the latest Freshly Made Sketch as my jumping off point, keeping the cards simple and flat :)

The focal point is one sentiment from a digital stamp set (CrashNotes at Etsy).  There are 8 different journal card size sentiments that I thought would fit perfectly within the banner frame (MFT).  The banner is a faux shaker with acetate.  It looks like it should shake but I needed to keep the card flat.  I layered DSP from SEI onto an ivory card base and added bakers twine for the embellishment.  This sketch was P-E-R-F-E-C-T for my project...thanks FMS!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you had an excellent weekend - my Seahawks won so I'm a happy girl!

Cards in Envy Challenge - Cute and Cuddly

Happy Monday and we hope you'll play along in the latest Cards in Envy Challenge!  The theme is Cute and Cuddly and your A2 card should be flat enough for mailing in an envy.  Use whatever you think is cute and cuddly - puppies, kittens, teddy bears, bunnies, etc.

For a little inspiration, I made this card for my very cute and cuddly grandson:

This teddy bear from Kaz Kraftz over at Stitchy Bear's Digi Outlet is called Beary Happy and it always makes me smile when I see him.  I fussy cut the image and then cut him in half so he could hang on to the sentiment banner (MFT).  I promise it didn't hurt him a bit :-).  The cardstock is from Memory Box and the DSP is an old paper pad from K&Company.  I finished it off with some sparkly pink enamel hearts from my stash.

I hope you'll play along in our Cute and Cuddly Challenge!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Doodle Pantry New Release: Punctuate It!

Good morning!  There's a new release called Punctuate It! over at Doodle Pantry that includes SVG e-cut files and some nice PNG label files for quick cards.  And I do mean quick!

This card took about 10 minutes to put together!  I merged the label with a sentiment from Doodle Pantry's Easter Egg Ants and printed on white cardstock.  I then did diffused embossing on the panel and added the layer to my cardstock.  The cute flowers are part of the image set so all I had to do to finish them off was place Copic-colored pearls in the center.  Lastly I added Wink of Stella to the colored letters and topped them off with Glossy Accents.  That's it...that's all!

Thanks for stopping by and there's still a little time left to play along in the Doodle Pantry's AIMPDC #3 - Anything Digital Goes.  The Challenge closes on March 25th.  Hope to see you there!

The Paper Players Challenge #235: Color Challenge

The Challenge over at The Paper Players is a color-themed one:

I didn't have the "exact" colors, but did my best to match up.  The orangy cardstock looks brighter than it actually is and the kraft card base looks darker!  Today was not a good picture taking day...

The image is from Doodle Pantry's Cute Cake set with Wink of Stella highlights.  The background paper was made using the Happy Birthday background stamp from MFT, stamped in ginger Fresh Ink.  The die cut flowers are also from MFT with the centers heat embossed in the same ginger ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Doodle Pantry's Any Digi Goes Challenge for March is going strong.  Stop by and share your projects!

Doodle Pantry *FLASHBACK* - Sheep Squeeze

Hi All!  With Doodle Pantry's new release format announced this month, the last Tuesday of this month is called "FLASHBACK FOCUS" where Laurie will feature previously released products that have been updated and are discounted for the week.  This week there are two flashbacks and my sample card is using Sheep Squeeze - perfect for a sweet valentine or just a love card with those cute sheep hugging it out!

I used the pre-colored hugging sheep image from the set, merged the sentiment onto the Missing You Heart Stamp, and layered it all on Hearts A Flutter digi paper.  I love the sentiments in this set!

I Miss Choo

I was finally able to take a break from the holiday craziness and spend time in my Girl Cave.  I think I get cranky if I can't play with paper!  The card I'm sharing today is following the latest Operation Write Home Sketch #244.  First of all, thank you to Marlene for all her past wonderful wit and work in coordinating the OWH sketch challenges and welcome, Sybrina, as the new coordinator!  I can't think of a better choice and look forward to your blogs!

Sketch #244

Since Doodle Pantry is sponsoring this sketch challenge (thanks, Laurie!), I went with making a child card for OWH, using Doodle Pantry's "Choo Choo" image (a freebie, BTW:).  I did computer generate my own sentiment.  I'm also going to link this card up for the December Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge - Primary Colors.  ODBD donates shipping costs for up to 2 OWH boxes based on the number of entries - so generous!

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by!  If you're able to find some crafting time, please check out the current fun challenges at Words 2 Scrap By - Eat, Drink, & Be Merry, Cards in Envy - Christmas Carols, and Doodle Pantry - Anything Digi Goes!  Happy Holidays!

Dog Slobber...

...is something I know a little bit about!  I'm getting ready to walk in a fundraiser for "senior citizen" dogs this weekend, so a puppy card seemed to be a great way to start the weekend.

This card's image is from Doodle Pantry's "Puppy Presents" set.  It's one of my faves and always makes me smile.  There are a bunch of cute dogs, each carrying different "presents"!

I'd like to enter this card in a couple of new challenges (for me):  Tuesday Throwdown 209:  Our Furry Little Friends and The Crazy Challenge 178: Cute Little Animals

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I hope you have a fantastic weekend!  If you're looking for another challenge, check out Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge 49, open until August 24th.  Woof!

Hang in There

Tuesday Morning Sketches #263:

Fun sketch!  I used the Plush Panda image and sentiment from Doodle Pantry, as well as the DP and symbol from Asian Plants 2. The Asian symbol means Friend.  The flowers are from The Stamps of Life mini flower die set.  This panda makes me smile and I'm hoping it will cheer up a friend.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bundle of Joy

Sentimental Sundays Challenge #220 is to use monochromatic colors.  I needed a new baby card, so I stuck with the monochromatic theme and used the adorable "Quirky Stork" image from Doodle Pantry.  I distressed the edges with Distress Ink (Evergreen Bough) for a little definition.  All the dies used are from My Favorite Things.  The twine is from The Twinery.  Thanks for stopping by!!

Loads of Fun

Doodle Pantry is sponsoring the latest Cupcake Inspirations Challenge (#273) - Bugs!  Don't these look too good to eat?

To celebrate "Bugs," I used Toy Truck Ants, Ant Accents, and Birthday Accessories from Doodle Pantry.  These ants just make me smile (when they're on a card - not my patio!).  I merged a couple of ants onto the sentiment, the presents into the truck, and a party hat onto the little guy sitting on the truck cab.  The background is embossed with a herringbone embossing folder, added 3 little banners, and orange enamel dots for the hubcaps.  I hope you'll play along and, if you use a digital image, join in the fun over at the Doodle Pantry Blog (DPDC49) too!  Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific day!

Christmas in July

Hi everyone!  It's finally heating up around here and I made Christmas cards for the July challenge over at the Doodle Pantry Blog!  LOL!  There are two themes for the challenge in July - Make a Splash and Christmas.  Christmas cards are my number one favorite type of card to make so this was extra fun.  On the first card, I used the Winter Song Birdies set for the image and sentiment.  The card is die cut with Little B Scallop Circle dies.

For the second card, I used the "Classy Monogram" outlines.  These are fantastic ~ you can fill the letters with whatever color you want or need!

Thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas in July!!

I Woof You

Hope everyone had a fabulous Father's Day!  I was happy to spend the day with my 92 year-old Dad and we had a great time.  The OWH Sketch Challenge #229 posted yesterday had me seeing spots in front of my eyes at first!

Sketch #229

I decided to use those cute digital puppies over at Doodle Pantry called "Puppy Presents" so I could enter the card over at Sentimental Sundays Challenge #211 where the theme is "Animals."  Each puppy is bringing a special present to someone special.  I just need to rescue one more dog and I could have used my own pics!  LOL!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great week!

Supplies:  Bazzill Brown Cardstock, Neenah Solar White Cardstock, MFT Kraft Cardstock (base), scrap DP, Doodle Pantry "Puppy Presents" Images & Sentiment, Fiskars Circle Punches, Hero Arts Metallic Décor (gold).

Stay the Course

Sentimental Sundays' Challenge #210 this week is ANY-Thing Goes.  I used the new June release from Doodle Pantry called "Smooth Sailing."  The set includes a great sailboat, DP, and sentiments.  I used some map paper from my stash, created a compass border from the image set, added the 'Stay the Course' sentiment and distressed with Ranger Tea Dye ink.  The wrapped twine is from May Arts and the gold dots were created with a Pearl Pen.

I really like this set and have used it for a couple of Father's Day cards too!  Thanks so much for stopping by and you may want to check out the Doodle Pantry Digital Challenge #47 going on right now (until June 24th).  The theme is "Make it Manly" and you can use any company's image.

Enjoy the week and Happy Sailing!

Cheeseburger!

The OWH Midweek Throwdown is BBQ Time with a Cheeseburger Challenge.  I remembered I had picked up a set from Doodle Pantry last year when they sponsored a fundraiser for Operation Write Home.  Although the fundraiser is over, Doodle Pantry still donates to OWH on an ongoing basis.  The set I used is called "Missing You" and has some great sentiments PLUS a cheeseburger!  Doodle Pantry donates $1.00 from the sale of this set to OWH!

Thanks for takin' a look!  I think its time for lunch now...LOL!  You should also check out Doodle Pantry's Blog for the latest challenge - Make it Manly.  There will be three lucky winners this month!

Have a great day!

Bug Me Anytime!

One of the new releases for June from the Doodle Pantry is called "Classic Bug & Gas Can."  It also just happens to be free with purchase June 1st through June 24th.  Sweet!  It is so darn cute, I couldn't wait to use it.

For my card, I used the latest sketch from Mojo Monday (#348).  I kept the card simple and flat so I could also enter the Cards In Envy Challenge - Feeling Buggy A2 Cards.  Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

Supplies:  Bazzill cardstock, Doodle Pantry Classic Bug & Gas digi image, DP, & sentiment, The Paper Studio Gears embossing folder, My Favorite Things' Circle & Fishtail Flag dies, and Recollections silver eyelets.
