Cards in Envy: Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

Hi CIE fans!  It's the third Monday of the month and time for another challenge over at Cards in Envy!  Our theme this time around is "Roses are Red, Violets are Blue" and we are looking for envy-friendly cards (flat enough to mail) that use Red and Blue as the dominant colors on your card.  Your card can be for any occasion as long as the main colors are Red and Blue.

For my DT card, I went with a masculine nautical theme but left off a sentiment so I could use it later for a thank you, birthday, thinking of you...whatever I may need at the time :)

The lighthouse image is a beautiful stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs called Lighthouse Collage.  I stamped it with Memento Paris Dusk ink, layered it over some Doodlebug Designs DP, then added some brushed metal stickers for accents from Tim Holtz Idea-ology collection.

Here's another Red and Blue girly card using Sizzix dies for the card base & layers and a Die-Versions die for the sentiment:

I hope I've provided a little inspiration for your Red and Blue projects.  We can't wait to see what you share with us over at Cards in Envy!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by and please visit my teamies' blogs to see their awesome ideas.  Have a great day  ~ Annie
