Use negative space on your CAS design and keep your layers and embellishments to a bare minimum for a clean look.
It was very warm when I made this card so I thought about Christmas in July to cool down! I used Stampin' Up's Shimmery White cardstock for the base and negative layer. I die cut a stitched rectangle (MFT), then die cut a snowflake (MFT) and the letters 'J' and 'Y' from Little B's Monogram die set. I layered the negative over a strip of American Craft's blue glitter cardstock and done!

Oh my, another person making Christmas cards already! I do like this, Annie. I like the blue glittery look and replacing the O with a snowflake - very clever.
ReplyDeleteAnnie this is gorgeous and absolutely perfect for the challenge. Love all the white space, and the glitter paper really makes your die cuts shine.
ReplyDeleteCAS perfection, Annie! Simple layout, clean design, and a pop of WOW in the glitter paper. Fabulous use of negative space, my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, this is LOVELY! Your card is CAS perfection. I struggle with CAS cards. I love the glitter paper and the Joy die is perfect! I need to use your idea for some quick cards! Have a lovely weekend, My Friend! XX
ReplyDeleteAnnie, this is CAS perefect. The glitter paper is the perfect way to add bling and texture without detracting from the die-cut sentiment. Gorgeous card. Hope you have a wonderful weekend with your newly shined helmet :-)
